7/4/2023 0 Comments Dear sun killswitch engage![]() They had a pretty beefy setlist at almost an hour. In Flames was after them and all though I'm not familiar with most of their work, they still impressed. They played a lot of memorable stuff and the stage antics from all of their members was hilarious. After them was Protest The Hero, one of my favorites. They sounded bang on with their recordings and didn't miss a note out of the million that they cam jam into a song. The played All Bodies and White Walls, and then debut a new song from their upcoming album The Great Misdirect. First up was Between the Buried And Me, who only got a chance to put in three songs but just that their songs average the 10 minute mark they still have a pretty long setlist. Killswitch Engage put on a amazing show with one of the best setlist and some of the best opening acts in metal. Can't wait for their album to drop in April. With the price so low ($26.02 in honour of the date of the albums release) it was a steal. It would have been awesome if they played a little more than an hour, but they packed that hour with a lot of music (and a few laughs from Adam's antics on stage). ![]() They also sprinkled in a few other tracks, like End of Heartache and Rose of Sharyn. As always, Killswitch played an amazing show, playing all of Alive or Just Breathing for the ten-year anniversary tour. When Killswitch finally took the stage, the place went nuts. Incredibly tight in execution and clear in sound, they kept the vibe going. Shadows Fall played the middle slot and nailed it. The vocalist also helmed the merch stand, so it was great to shake his hand as I picked up their album and a shirt. Also, it was nice to see them in the crowd mingling with the fans. They were great for warming the crowd up. Acaro was a great opening band: they were high energy, loud and brutal. The single “The End of Heartache” and their cover of “Holy Diver” are also certified gold. The night was awesome. The record produced fan favorites such as “My Curse” and “The Arms of Sorrow.” The band also received a platinum certification for the aforementioned single “My Curse,” as well as gold certifications for 2004′s The End of Heartache and the Set This World Ablaze DVD. Their fourth album, As Daylight Dies, released by Roadrunner Records on November 21, 2006, has been certified platinum by the RIAA. In other KsE news, the band, recognized by Forbes as one of “ metal’s most cherished acts,” has earned another impressive accolade. ![]() And regardless of who we have become as a band, we still have our roots firmly planted in hardcore music.“ To me, the message is equally important as the music, and this song is no exception. “ It shines a light on the various protest songs we’ve written over the years. “ This song speaks volumes about the state of the world, not only when I wrote the lyrics, but today, as well,” says singer Jesse Leach. Today, the band has shared the video for “Know Your Enemy.” Watch it here: youtu.be/6DVSN11Pg9g This compelling performance will be available for the first time digitally, on 2 LP, and 2 CD/BR on June 3 via Metal Blade. ![]() The performance setlist consists of 2019′s Atonement in full, along with their 2000-released, self-titled debut album in full – with some fun and unexpected surprises along the way! This special event was directed by David Brodsky and Allison Woest for MyGoodEye. The event took place at The Palladium in Worcester in the band’s native Massachusetts, which has been the site of many iconic KsE shows throughout the band’s history. On August 6, 2021, three-time Grammy-nominated hard rock heavyweights and platinum-selling band Killswitch Engage unleashed a streaming event that took fans by storm.
